The Knoxville Boys Soccer Squad fell for the second time in two matches on Monday with a 2-0 setback to Oskaloosa. The Indians scored with 6:31 left in the 1st half and then early on in the 2nd half to get a two goal lead and never allowed Knoxville to get into a rhythm. The Panthers had several chances at the net and on corner kicks but could never cash in. Coach Dylan Mick tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the first three matches are being used as a measuring stick for his team to find out how they can compete with 2A squads they may see later in the season.
Mick: “We use those teams, because we’re the only 2A teams in the conference since they’re 1A. These are the types of teams that we will see later in the season to get to where we want to be.”
Knoxville is now 0-2 on the season and will host Bondurant-Farrar tonight at Randy Wilson Track.
