It was a successful day for Pleasantville’s track and field squads as both teams had top-four finishes at the Lynnville-Sully Hawk Coed Invite.

 

The Trojans’ boys placed first overall, finishing ten points ahead of the host. Pleasantville’s big star of the night was Blayton Nilles, who placed first in the 100 and 200 meter dashes. Nilles finished with times of 11.64 seconds and 23.49 seconds respectively. The Trojans’ girls placed fourth with 105 points, 34.5 points ahead of fifth-place Sigourney. Pleasantville’s girls had three first-place finishes. Amy Kish placed first in the 100 and 200 meter dashes while Sophia Mason placed first in the long jump.

 

The Trojans’ girls will be back in action with a meet Thursday at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, while the boys will be back on the track Friday at Baxter.
