Ben Reeves is the new Indianola City Manager. Reeves comes to Indianola from Santaquin City, Utah, a community of over 16,000 that is located 20 miles south of Provo, Utah.
Indianola City Mayor Stephanie Erickson released a statement about the hire: “I am pleased to welcome Ben Reeves and his family to the City of Indianola. We were thrilled to have a group of 38 candidates apply for the position of City Manager. After a nationwide recruitment and selection process involving community members, city staff, and the City Council, Mr. Reeves was selected for the position. Mr. Reeves’ breadth of experience in finance, organizational management, planning, and administration will be invaluable to the City of Indianola. I am confident he will be an immense asset in moving our community forward.”
Mr. Reeves has 18 years of experience in the public sector, serving in his current role with Santaquin City since 2009 and serving the City of LaVerkin, Utah as City Manager and Treasurer. Mr. Reeves has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern Utah University and a Master of Science in Organizational Behavior and Strategic Leadership from Roberts Wesleyan College.
Reeves says, “It is an honor to be selected to serve the residents of Indianola as your next city manager. My family and I are very excited to relocate and plant roots in this beautiful community. It is my desire to perpetuate and enhance the great work of the city staff and elected leaders in an open, welcoming, and unifying manner. We are very grateful and humbled by this wonderful opportunity.”
The Indianola City Council formally approved an employment agreement with Mr. Reeves at a special meeting on April 6, 2022. Mr. Reeves’ first day with Indianola will be May 23, 2022.
