The Warren County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

The board approved the proposed map plan from the Legislative Services Agency for updated Board of Supervisor Districts despite strong opposition from all board members on the composition of the maps, which varied from the board’s volunteer committee recommendations. A letter from the State of Iowa Legislative Services Agency stating the maps needed to go into effect soon for the benefit of county staff and election candidates, and regardless of approval by the board the agency would put the maps into effect.

The board rejected a bid for the Stone Street Bridge Replacement, approved the 5-year road construction plan, discussed a Cornerstone Laying Ceremony for the Warren County Justice Center with the Grand Lodge of Iowa, approved a proclamation declaring April as Child Abuse Prevention Month, builder’s risk insurance coverage for the Warren County Shop Site Project, budget appropriations, and American Rescue Plan Act funds.
