With the recent weather natural disasters affecting Iowa over the last several years, Congresswoman Cindy Axne says she is working on helping to streamline communication and warning systems with the National Weather Service. Congresswoman Axne says they are providing upgrades to the NWS Chat system to help them communicate faster with Emergency Management departments, and what is good for Iowa will be good for the entire nation.

“It’s important for our state, and I would tell you it’s important for the whole country. If we are experiencing delays in Iowa, I can’t imagine it’s not happening elsewhere, and there is no time for delay anywhere in the country when a disaster is approaching.”

Axne also said she is partnering with the rest of the Iowa legislative delegation who have signed on to the bill.
