Heritage Acting Troupe Performs Today

The Heritage Acting Troupe will perform Outlaws, Goldmines, and Whatnot today at 2:30 pm and 6:30 pm at the First Baptist Church in Knoxville. Director Natalie Ogborne spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the show.

“Outlaws, Goldmines, and Whatnot is a Wild West show that was written by a former HAT actor and this is the second time we have performed it. The plotline involves several travelers that are stranded in a cafe in the west. In order to earn the last ticket out of town on the stagecoach, they are telling their stories.”

Cast member Clayton Barr tells us about his role and about the experience of putting on the production.

“I play Jack, the very enthusiastic cafe owner who is very excited to have something to do during the rainstorm. Overall it has been a very fun experience especially with a lot of ridiculous shenanigans happening in the middle of practicing.”

Caleb Book, also a cast member, talks about his role in the show

“I’m playing two characters: the lawyer and the young marshall.  As the lawyer, I am this scatterbrain guy who never really knows what he is doing. As the marshall, I’m ready to go as I have been sent out to the West to catch some bad guys.”Tickets for today’s shows can only be purchased online at  heritagehomeeducators.com.
