The Pella High School jazz program made history at the Iowa Jazz Championships last week.
They were the first high school in the nearly 45 year history of the event to have two bands place in the top five. Pella Jazz Orchestra is considered the school’s second of three ensembles, but members Alloree Else, Emmalee Spurgeon, and Camden Holland are all proud of how far they went this season, and hopes it establishes a new tradition beyond the success of Pella Jazz I.

High school musicians will be featured from the vocal music, band, and orchestra departments during the annual two-night Carnaby Club at Pella High School on April 29th and 30th. Details about the performances will soon be released, but both nights begin at 7 p.m. in the Pella High School Auditorium.
