It was a busy Monday for Knoxville sports as the boys soccer squad finally got in the win column defeating Chariton 3-1. The Panthers fell behind in the first half and trailed 1-0, but two goals from Emmett Schmidt, one on a penalty kick and the final tally by Andrew Jackson all in the second half. The Knoxville girls golf squad placed 3rd in a triangular at Chariton on Monday. The Panthers turned in a team score of 255 led by a 42 from Faith Roozeboom, who was medalist by 14 shots. The Knoxville Girls Track and Field Squad took four 1st place medals from Albia including Ashlyn Finarty in the shot put, Ciara Heffron in the discus and Norah Pearson winning the 3,000 and 800 meter runs. The boys also had four first place medals with Cole Carter winning the 400 hurdles, T.J. DeJong won the 200, Kaiden Smith won the high jump, and Seth Walraven won the 800. Team scores were not available.
