On April 11 members of the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Task Force conducted a search warrant at 300 Fourth Street in Harvey. Officers found 4 separate bags of a green leafy substance that tested positive for marijuana with a total gross weight of 3.4 ounces. Officers also found a zip-loc bag containing a white crystalline substance that tested positive for methamphetamine with a total gross weight of 10.1 ounces. Officers arrested 52 year old Dustin Edward Flander of Harvey and charged him with two separate charges of Failure to Affix Drug Stamp. Both charges are Class D Felonies, and two Controlled Substance Violations with one being a Class D Felony and the other a Class B Felony.
As with any criminal case a charge is merely accusation and a defendant is innocent until proven guilty.
