The Indianola Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Whip It Good Catering in Indianola Wednesday, welcoming the business to the chamber. Owner Emmalee Bowlin tells KNIA News Whip It Good Catering offers not only traditional catering services for parties and businesses, but offers home cooked meals for busy families and those who aren’t able to cook on a nightly basis.
“People are busy, so I offer a homemade meal to go four nights a week. People order in advance and come pick up their meals hot and ready to eat. I also do uncooked options so you can do a take and bake option. That means there’s no mess, no cleanup, no cooking, and you get a good homemade meal. It’s not takeout, it’s not restaurant, it’s not fast food. I say it’s something your grandma would have made.”
Bowlin also said one of the best feedback she has gotten is when the elderly can take advantage of the business, getting a nutritious home cooked meal during the week, and having their children know a weight can be lifted off their shoulders knowing their parents are being taken care of.
