Four Indianola spring sports teams are in action today, as they battle the cold weather of spring in addition to their opponents.
The Indians girls tennis team takes on North Polk in a rescheduled match from earlier this spring, hosting the Comets in a non-conference dual. The Indianola girls and boys soccer teams are also both in action, the girls facing off against Des Moines East at the Indianola Stadium, while the boys don’t have far to travel as they take on the Wildcats of Carlisle on the road.
The Indians girls track and field team travels to Marion County to take on Knoxville.
Senior Anna Young said despite the cold weather and lack of meets early in the season, the team is well prepared because of their hard offseason work and indoor facilities.
Tennis and girls track start at 4:15, while the soccer squads kick off at 7pm.
