Norwalk Boys Track Travel to Perry
(Meet has been canceled)
Norwalk’s boys’ track and field squad will have their fourth meet of the season as they travel to Perry.
The Warriors’ boys are coming off a fantastic first place finish in their home meet Monday, including three first-place finishes and a school record being broken in the 800 meter run by Brody Lucas. Norwalk will compete with the host, Boone, Des Moines Christian, Des Moines Lincoln, and Ottumwa. Warriors’ senior Grant Nelson states that he thinks the key in this meet and in other meets will be the second half of races he is competing in.
“I definitely think my second half of the race has gotten a lot better. My starts have always been something I’ve done very well on but I think it’s the second half of my race. I have been working on endurance a lot in the offseason.”
The meet at Perry High School gets underway at 4:30 PM.
