The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning and Wind Advisory for south central Iowa. Gusts will approach 50 mph over northern Iowa and will be at or above 40 mph statewide. Fire weather is a concern due to windy conditions and low humidity. Temperatures will remain cooler, as highs will remain near 50 for much of the state and lows will be near or below freezing over the next several days. Rain and snow chances return Saturday night into Sunday.
