The City of Pella parks department has released an update to its bloom status map, and very few of the community’s 300,000-plus tulips are showing color.
A string of cool, cloudy days to start the spring has Pella’s favorite flowers staying low to the ground and without much in the way of color at both Pella Historical Society and in City of Pella parks.
While warmer air could jumpstart many bulbs, afternoon highs will likely stay below 60 well into next week.
