Norwalk’s boys’ soccer squad began tournament play at Valley Stadium by being shut out by No. 4 in Class 2A Ankeny, 3-0.

The Warriors have now suffered their fifth loss in their first six matches this season. Norwalk was shut out for the third time this season, the other two coming against Ames and Ankeny Centennial. Norwalk competed well and is starting to turn the corner, but they need to play better in order to come away with key victories. The Warriors’ record now drops to 1-5 on the season, including a 1-1 record in Little Hawkeye Conference play.

The second match of their tournament at Des Moines Valley will be today at 4:00 PM as Norwalk will battle with Sioux City North.
