Knoxville spring sports squads will see their friends from the Tulip City in a few events today. The girls golf squad will host Pella and Pleasantville in a triangular at Pine Knolls Country Club. Coach Barry Smith tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Faith Roozeboom has looked very good the last couple of meets, and it is not surprising to him as he saw that potential last spring.
Smith: “To continue to see her carry that over to this year. The ball is jumping off the club, and Faith is not a big girl, but her power off the tee, it’s a nice solid swing, and she’s executing better and it’s nice to have that now so we can see her develop later.”
Tee off is scheduled for 4:00 at Pine Knolls, on the other side of Knoxville, the girls tennis squad will host Pella Christian at the Joel Tonda tennis Courts at 4:15. Both soccer squads are playing today as the girls travel to West Marshall to take on Central Iowa United at 5:00, and boys soccer hosts PCM at 7:00.
