(Meet Postponed to Friday, April 22)

Norwalk’s girls’ tennis squad will take the court Monday for their next meet against Waukee Northwest.

The Warriors will be looking to get their third consecutive win to begin the year. Norwalk won their first two matches of the year over Knoxville and Grinnell. This will be the first time Norwalk will take the court in six days after their match Thursday against Ballard was postponed until this Wednesday due to inclement weather. Coach Kristin Geisler says that it is hard to figure out Waukee Northwest since it is the first-ever meeting between the two schools.

“This is the first time we have ever faced Waukee Northwest. We’ll be facing a 2A program. I’ve seen a few scores, but a lot of programs are in the same boat as we are. They just haven’t been able to get their matches in. We’ll just need to be ready. We just need to be ready to go and prepare ourselves against some 2A competition.”

The match at Norwalk High School gets underway at 4:15 PM.
