Norwalk Girls Track Travels to Des Moines East

 

Norwalk’s girls’ track and field squad will be back in action for a meet today at Des Moines East.

 

The Warriors will be back in action for the first time since the 11th when they placed first in their coed home meet. Norwalk will be competing with nine other teams, including the host, Des Moines Hoover, Des Moines Lincoln, Des Moines North, Mason City, PCM, Southeast Polk, Urbandale, and Winterset.

 

The meet at Des Moines East gets underway at 4:30 PM.

 

Norwalk Girls Golf Has Home Little Hawkeye Conference Triangular

 

Norwalk’s girls’ golf squad had their meet at Winterset Monday postponed until May 2nd due to snow still being on the course from Sunday’s snowstorm.

 

The Warriors instead will be back on the course today at home for a Little Hawkeye Conference triangular. Norwalk will battle with Dallas Center-Grimes and Pella on their home course. This will be the second consecutive meet for the Warriors against a conference opponent. Norwalk defeated Grinnell on their home course last Tuesday 207-225.

 

The triangular at Willow Creek Golf Course in Norwalk gets underway at 4:00 PM.

 

Norwalk Boys Tennis Takes On Urbandale

 

Norwalk’s boys tennis squad will be back in action for their next match today, which will be at home against Urbandale.

 

The Warriors are scheduled to have their first match since last Tuesday when they lost at Grinnell in their first Little Hawkeye Conference match. Norwalk’s match against Urbandale was scheduled for April 8th, but was postponed due to inclement weather. Norwalk will be looking for their first match win of the season.

 

The match at Norwalk High School gets underway at 4:15 PM.

 

Norwalk Soccer Back In Action Against Oskaloosa

 

Norwalk’s soccer squads will be back in action for a Little Hawkeye Conference match against Oskaloosa today.

 

The No. 1 in Class 2A Warriors’ girls will be looking to remain undefeated in the 2022 season, winning their first seven matches, including wins over Little Hawkeye Conference foes Pella and Pella Christian. Norwalk has won the last nine matches against Oskaloosa, including defeating them 10-0 last season.

 

The Warriors’ boys are coming off a split at the West Des Moines Valley tournament this past weekend, losing to Ankeny but coming back to beat Sioux City North Saturday afternoon. Norwalk won two of their last three matches, including defeating Little Hawkeye Conference foe Pella Christian. The Warriors will be looking for their third win of the season and their 12th straight win over Oskaloosa.

 

The girls’ match at Oskaloosa gets underway at 5:30 PM, while the boys will get underway at 7:30 PM.
