Norwalk Girls Golf Travels to Oskaloosa
Norwalk’s girls’ golf squad will be back in action for their next meet as they travel to Edmundson Golf Course in Oskaloosa.
The Warriors are coming off placing second in a Little Hawkeye Conference triangular with Dallas Center-Grimes and Pella at Willow Creek Golf Course Tuesday. Norwalk will be looking for a high finish, which has been a theme for them so far this year. The Warriors have three first-place finishes so far this season, most recently in a home dual meet with Grinnell on the 12th. The Warriors will be competing with 12 other teams, including the host, Knoxville, Pella, and PCM.
The meet at Edmundson Golf Course gets underway at 2:00 PM.
Norwalk Boys and Girls Tennis Have Match Against Ballard Canceled, Take on Newton
Due to rain falling throughout Wednesday, Norwalk’s boys’ and girls’ tennis squads had their matches against Ballard canceled.
The Warriors’ match with Ballard was already postponed once last week, and now it will not be made up. With the cancellation, both of Norwalk’s tennis squads will be back in action today, this time against Little Hawkeye Conference foe Newton. The Warriors’ girls will be looking for their third straight win over the Cardinals. Norwalk’s boys will be looking for their third win in their last four matches.
The matches get underway at 4:15 PM.
Norwalk Boys Track Goes to Waukee, Girls Travel to Indianola
Both of Norwalk’s track squads will be back in action today with both the boys and the girls making a short road trip.
The Warriors’ boys will travel to Waukee for their next meet. Norwalk is coming off placing second at their last meet in Indianola last Friday. At the Waukee Boys’ Invite, Norwalk will compete with 14 other schools, including the host, Indianola, PCM, and Pella. The Warriors will be looking for their fourth top-three finish of the season, which includes a first-place finish at their home meet.
The Warriors’ girls will travel down south to Indianola for their next meet tonight. Norwalk is coming off placing first in the Lee Town Relays at Des Moines East Tuesday. The Warriors will compete with five other schools at the Lee Werling Relays, including the host, Des Moines Lincoln, Ottumwa, Southeast Polk and Waukee Northwest. Norwalk will be looking for their third consecutive first-place finish.
The boys’ meet at Waukee begins at 4:00 PM, while the girls’ meet at Indianola gets underway at 4:30 PM.
Norwalk Girls Soccer Takes On Urbandale, Boys at Johnston
Both of Norwalk’s soccer squads will be in action against tough non-conference opponents tonight.
The Warriors’ girls will look to keep their No. 1 in Class 2A ranking and undefeated record intact at Urbandale tonight. Norwalk opened the season with eight straight victories, including knocking in a season-high 13 goals at Little Hawkeye Conference foe Oskaloosa Tuesday. The Warriors won the previous two matchups with the J-Hawks, both of them 1-0 shutouts.
The Warriors’ boys will look for their third consecutive win at home against undefeated Johnston. Norwalk defeated Sioux City North and Little Hawkeye Conference foe Oskaloosa in their previous two matches. The Warriors have yet to defeat Johnston in the Varsity Bound era, including losing to them 1-0 last year.
The girls’ match at Urbandale gets underway at 7:00 PM, while the boys’ match at home gets underway at 7:30 PM.
