An all-inclusive playground opened in Pella last fall has earned attention from the national Kiwanis organization in hopes of spurring similar projects across the country.

In back-to-back issues, the Pella Kiwanis and Wonder Spelen organizations were highlighted for their efforts in collaborating with the community, city government, and other partners to bring enhancements to Kiwanis Park. This month’s edition includes a feature about Sarah Turnbull, who served on the local committee that helped bring the Wonder Spelen to the finish line and spoke at the grand opening ceremony last October.
