The Indianola High School Prom is tomorrow, and the Indianola Police Department wants to pass along several safety tips for parents and students attending the event. Acting Chief Brian Sher tells KNIA News it is important to have strong communication, and have a plan in place.
“Obviously you have to know and discuss the school code of conduct before the prom with your child. Make sure they have those rules down pat, so there aren’t going to be any issues. Also know who your child is going to be attending the prom with and their friend group, and discuss both pre and post prom activities with other parents in that group. Get more parents involved, so you all know what your kids are doing.”
Prom will be at Adventureland’s Palace Theatre from 8-11pm, with a post-prom activity taking place at the Blake Fieldhouse from 11:45pm to 2:30am.
