For the second straight week, the Knoxville Raceway will try to get the season started tonight. Last week was too cold to race and this week rain may interfere. One driver that is coming in with a little less pressure to win a track championship is reigning 410 Champion Davey Heskin. He tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that it would be nice to win another track title, and that is the ultimate goal, he wants something this season that he did not get last year, and that is wins…
Heskin: “You have a lot more fun when you’re that competitive. The stress of winning a championship is lifted, I mean we would love to win it again, but we’re going for wins, that’s the goal this season and to finish in the top five of points. It would be so special to win back-to-back because not a lot of drivers have done that, but just get wins this year and see where we end up.
All three defending track champions are scheduled to race this season including Heskin, 360 winner Clint Garner and Pro Sprints Winner Tyler Groenendyk. Listen for live flag-to-flag coverage tonight starting at 5:00 with Live Track Side and 7:00 for Race Nights Live on KNIA.
