Norwalk Boys Tennis Takes On Indianola

 

Norwalk’s boys’ tennis squad will look for their second consecutive match win of the season at Indianola Monday.

 

The Warriors are coming off getting their first match win of the season against Newton on Senior Day Thursday, 10-1. Norwalk came away with five singles match wins and five doubles match wins in their victory. The Warriors will also be looking for their second Little Hawkeye Conference match win against the Indians. Norwalk will be looking for their first win against Indianola in the Varsity Bound Era.

 

The meet at Indianola begins at 4:15 PM Monday.

 

Norwalk Girls Track and Field Travel to Winterset 

 

Norwalk’s girls’ track and field squad will be back on the track Monday afternoon as they travel to Winterset.

 

The Warriors will compete in the Winterset Girls Invitational Monday. Norwalk is coming off placing fourth in the Ron Werling Relays at Indianola Thursday. The Warriors will be competing with six other schools, including the host, Carlisle, Des Moines Lincoln, Des Moines Roosevelt, Interstate-35, and Mount Ayr. The Warriors will be looking for their sixth top-four finish of the season.

 

The meet at Winterset begins at 4:30 PM Monday.

 

Norwalk Boys Soccer Goes To Des Moines Valley

 

Norwalk’s boys’ soccer squad will look to get back in the win column on the road at Des Moines Valley.

 

The Warriors’ boys are coming off a tough loss at No. 7 in Class 2A Johnston Thursday. Norwalk has won three of their previous five matches, with their wins coming over Pella Christian, Sioux City North, and Oskaloosa. The Warriors have lost the previous three matches with the Tigers, including losing 4-0 last year. Coach Dustin Kralik tells KNIA Sports that he knows it will be a tall task going up against one of the strongest programs in the state.

 

“Valley is always one of the strongest programs and biggest schools in the state. They’ve got tons of club players, they are always going to bring quality. It’s going to be a challenge but I think our guys are up to it.

 

The match at Des Moines Valley gets underway at 7:30 PM.
