The Knoxville School Board approved an amendment to the certified budget at their meeting Monday. Knoxville School District Business Manager Craig Mobley spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the amendment.

“We amended the 2022 fiscal year budget and there were two causes. The first was about Covid funds the district received and how fast we were spending them. The second part is for funding of the MIddle School project. The cash flow for that project has been faster than we anticipated when we set the budget last year and these changes will not have an effect on our property tax rate.”
