Knoxville High School graduate and current freshman at Creighton University, Jayce Hughes recently received an award from the university. Jayce spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the award.

“The Randolph Ferlic Summer Undergrad Research Fellowship is the award that I received. It is a summer research fellowship that allows students to have their own project in their major field, and to have time throughout the summer to find results and work those up for preliminary outcomes. In the fall we will post our results and present it during research week at the university. Ultimately the goal is to have a publication of your research.”

Jayce’s research will be on NanoParticle Mediated Radiotherapy. For more with Jayce tune in to Friday’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.
