With more and more kids participating in online activities, safety risks increase. Knoxville Police Officer Kyle Keller spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about what parents can do to help keep their kids safe online.
“One thing I always encourage parents to do is to make sure you know everything that is on their phone, tablet, and video game systems. Make sure to know what they are looking at and know their passwords. Have an understanding of what they are doing online or playing. Find out if there is a chat platform, are there security settings you can set. As a parent we have to know so much just to keep up with our kids to protect them.”
