Norwalk Girls Golf 2nd Behind Indianola in Triangular

 

Norwalk and Indianola’s girls’ golf squads placed in the top two of their Little Hawkeye Conference triangular at Indianola Country Club Wednesday.

 

The Indians placed first with a team score of 206. The Warriors placed second with a team score of 222. Oskaloosa rounded out the triangular with a score of 236. Indianola’s Kinzey Johnson and Cameryn Overton finished as the meet medalist and runner-up with scores of 45 and 46, respectively. Norwalk’s low golfer was Emily Juergens, who finished with a 50. Juergens’ score was good for third overall.

 

Indianola will have a quick turnaround and compete in a tournament at Willow Creek today. That meet gets underway at 9:30 AM. Norwalk will be back in action Tuesday for a Little Hawkeye Conference dual match with Newton.

 

Norwalk Boys Track at Bondurant-Farrar, Girls Track Travels to Carlisle

 

Both of Norwalk’s track and field squads are in action today in their final meet before Drake Relays today.

 

The Warriors’ boys will travel north to Bondurant-Farrar for their next meet. Norwalk is coming off placing third at the Wildcat Boys’ Relays in Carlisle Tuesday. The Warriors will be looking for their seventh top-four finish this season. Norwalk will compete with six other schools, including the host, ADM, Des Moines Christian, Des Moines Lincoln, Interstate, and Winterset.

 

The Warriors’ girls will travel east to Carlisle for their next meet. Norwalk came off placing fourth at the Ron Werling Relays in Indianola last Thursday. The Warriors will compete with 11 other schools, including the host, ADM, Bondurant-Farrar, Gilbert, Grinnell, Mason City, Nevada, North Polk, PCM, Urbandale, and Winterset.

 

Both meets will get underway at 4:15 PM.

 

Norwalk Girls Tennis Takes On Pella Christian

 

Norwalk’s girls’ tennis squad will look to get back on the winning track at Little Hawkeye Conference foe Pella Christian.

 

The Warriors are coming off their first loss of the season Tuesday against Pella Christian’s crosstown rival, Pella. Norwalk had one match win against the Dutch, which came in a doubles match by Olivia and Ava Johnson. Norwalk has won three matches so far this season, over Knoxville, Grinnell, and Newton. The Warriors will also be looking for their third Little Hawkeye Conference win.

 

The match gets underway at 4:15 PM.

 

Norwalk Boys Soccer Takes On Des Moines Lincoln

 

Norwalk’s boys’ soccer squad will look to get their second consecutive win as they take on non-conference opponent Des Moines Lincoln.

 

The Warriors are coming off their fourth win of the year and their third Little Hawkeye Conference win of the season against Newton Tuesday. Norwalk got two goals in their last match from Spencer Taylor. The Warriors had back-to-back wins once already this season, which came against Sioux City North and Oskaloosa.

 

The match at Norwalk High School gets underway at 7:30 PM.
