The Indianola boys and girls tennis teams fell to Little Hawkeye Conference rival Pella Thursday, both the boys and girls falling 10-1. The Indians girls got the lone win from Carmen Christensen at #5 singles winning 6-3, 6-4, while the boys #5 doubles team of Brant Gicante and Erik Jenson won in straight sets. Assistant coach Nathan Carlin said the team will face teams down the stretch that have their eyes on a state title, and it will be up to the Indians to weather the storm and improve so they can put themselves in a position to succeed in their own postseason run. The Indians girls fall to 8-3 and travel to rival Norwalk on Monday, while the boys fall to 8-5 and travel to Ballard on Tuesday.
