Both Melcher-Dallas Track and Field Squads went their separate ways on Thursday with the girls traveling to Clarke and placing 3rd while the boys ran at PCM and placed 6th. The boys had a gold medal performance from Logan Godfrey in the high jump leaping six feet while Owen Suntken was 2nd in the 110 high hurdles, Godfrey was 3rd in the 100 and the shuttle hurdle relay team of Godfrey, Lucas Harrington, Anthony Schneider, and Suntken was 3rd in a time of 1:11.33. For the girls a long list of accomplishments in Osceola highlighted by a one/two finish in the shot put as BrieAnna Remster won with a toss of 31 feet 5 ¼ inches while Gabby Overgaard took 2nd with a toss of 31 feet 4 3/4 inches she also was 2nd in the discus with a throw of 90 feet nine inches. Other top finishers were Kianna Jackson placing 2nd in the 3000 with a time of 15:32.89, 2nd was from the f4x400…and 3rd place from the 4×200 and 800 meter relays.
