PCM Girls Golf Competes In Home Invitational, Boys Travel to Chariton

 

PCM’s girls’ golf squad had two golfers on their squad compete at their home invitational Thursday afternoon.

 

The Mustangs’ two golfers that competed were Eleigh Davis and Riley Johannes. Davis finished as the low golfer for PCM with a 105. Johannes finished with a 114.

 

PCM will be back in action for their next meet Monday, a home quadrangular with Knoxville, Pella, and Saydel. The Mustangs’ boys will be in action for a meet today, a triangular with Chariton and Knoxville. The meet will begin at 4:15 PM.

 

PCM Boys Track Takes 2nd in Home Invite, Girls 8th at Carlisle

 

PCM’s boys’ track and field squad came home with a second-place finish at their home invite, while the girls placed eighth at Carlisle.

 

The Mustangs’ boys finished with 110 team points, finishing behind just first-place Pleasantville. PCM had five first-place finishes in the meet. Griffin Olson placed first in the 400 hurdles, while Carson Vandelune finished first in the 800 meter dash. Ben Buys placed first in the discus throw. The Mustangs also got first-place finishes in the 4×200 meter relay and 4×110 meter shuttle hurdle relay.


The Mustangs’ girls finished with 36 team points, five ahead of ninth-place Nevada. PCM had one first-place finish in their meet, which came from Delaney Baird. Baird placed first in the 400 meter hurdles.

 

Both teams will be back in action for their next meet Monday at North Polk.

 

PCM Soccer Defeats Grand View Christian

 

PCM’s soccer squad got back to .500 with another non-conference victory over Grand View Christian, 3-1.

 

The Mustangs’ three goals came from three different players. Tyler Kuecker, Justin Johnston, and Moises Raya Hernandez all came away with one goal. Kuecker also had an assist. With the win, PCM improves to 4-4 on the season, doubling their win total from the previous season.

 

PCM will be back in action for a Heart of Iowa Conference showdown with Greene County Monday at home.
