Pella Track and Field Teams Sweep Tulip Time Relays
It was home sweet home for the Pella track and field teams, and even with their Drake Relays qualifiers either limited or not competing at all, the Dutch flexed their muscle to win the boys and girls team races at the Tulip Time Relays.

Pella Soccer Girls Topple Ranked Nevada
Weeks of frustration against ranked foes finally turned into fortune as the #12 in 2A Pella girls soccer team knocked off #6 Nevada 1-0. While the Dutch were outshot 21-1, Abby Warner made the one that counted in the 2nd half, while Haley Van Houweling worked to fend off 21 Cubs’ attacks at the net. Pella improves to 7-5 and they next host #2 in 2A DCG Tuesday.

Long Road Trip Turns into Victory for Pella Girls Golfers

The Pella Girls Golf Team broke 200 as a team, scoring another season best, shooting a 197 on Thursday night to win a triangular in Fairfield. Leading scores for the #18 in 3A Dutch: Reagan VanWyk (18th ranked individual in 3A) – tied for Medalist (44), Karsyn Lyons (45 – PR), Olivia Hood (53), and Ellie Wogen (55). Pella edged out the #15-ranked host Trojans by six strokes to win. The Dutch girls golfers head to Monroe Monday.

Tennis Teams Continue Conference Domination
Another night, another pair of strong victories for the Pella boys and girls tennis teams as they swept Indianola, each winning 10-1.

The #2 in 1A boys had singles wins from Caleb Briggs, Jack Briggs, Joshua Roozeboom, Cameron Rowe, Beau Bush, and Cashen Thompson, and their doubles pairs 1-4 also won, including Briggs/Briggs, Roozeboom/Rowe, Bush/Thompson, and Hayden Rozenboom and Ben Van Gorp.

The #3 Pella Girls Tennis Team was up 5-1 after singles and swept all five of the doubles matches to complete the 10-1 score. Three times the Dutch had to rebound from a second set loss, after winning the first set, to win the match in a third set tiebreaker: Alloree Else at #2 Singles, Willa Kelpe at #6 Singles, and Willa Kelpe and Demrie VanderLeest at #3 Doubles. The Dutch girls will look to try and dodge the weather to host their home invitational, while they will join the boys in facing Pella Christian on Monday.

Pella Boys Narrowly Place 3rd in Tough Field at Moravia
In Moravia, the #6 Pella boys golf team finished third out of 21 teams, shooting 331. #5 in 2A Des Moines Christian shot 321 to win and #7 in 3A Knoxville shot 328 to finish second. Pella scores included: Will Simpson-76, Ayden Gordon-82, Cade McGinley-84, and AJ Hoekstra-89.
