It was twin 2-1 decisions over Grinnell for the Knoxville Boys and Girls Soccer Squads on Friday night. The girls had to go to double overtime to get the win as Taylor Jones nailed a goal :56 into the second extra session. She also scored Knoxville’s goal in regulation off of a corner kick. At Randy Wilson Track in Knoxville, a slow start by the boys turned into a furious finish as the Panthers trailed with just over 12:00 left in the match when Andrew Jackson caught the Tiger goalie out of position and scored on a clear net. Less than four minutes later Tyler Kearney scored on a breakaway goal to give the Panthers the win. The Knoxville Boys Golf Squad won a triangular in Chariton on Friday scoring a 162 in less than ideal weather conditions. Beau Leisure and Carson Uitermarkt were co-medalists both shooting 40. The Knoxville Boys and Girls Tennis Squads fell to Clarke 9-0. The Panthers will now look to the South Central Conference Meet next week.
