The Knoxville Racing Charitable Organization received a large donation Friday.

KRCO President Maureen Nichols spoke with KNIA/KRLS about the donation.

“It was very surprising to us. I was notified earlier to be in the pits for the driver’s meeting. The first race of the year I usually talk about driver safety. We were short staffed so I didn’t go but made sure I had staff that went. They went to the meeting and got called up and Craig Ford of Pella Motors gave $10,000 to the Knoxville Racing Charitable Organization.”

The Knoxville Racing Charitable Organization is a non-profit organization that helps with driver safety.
