Norwalk Girls Golf Travels to Winterset

 

Norwalk’s girls’ golf squad will be back on the course Monday for a meet at Lakeview Country Club in Winterset.

 

The Warriors are coming off placing second in a Little Hawkeye Conference Triangular at Indianola Wednesday afternoon. Norwalk will be looking to win their first meet since defeating Grinnell in a Little Hawkeye Conference dual meet April 12. Norwalk will compete with four other teams, including the host, Chariton, Clarke, and Gilbert.

 

The meet at Lakeview Country Club in Winterset gets underway at 1:00 PM Monday.

 

Norwalk Girls Tennis Takes On Indianola

 

Norwalk’s girls’ tennis squad will be back on the courts Monday for a Little Hawkeye Conference dual meet at Indianola.

 

The Warriors are coming off getting back in the win column in another Little Hawkeye Conference dual meet at Pella Christian Thursday, 9-2. Norwalk was originally scheduled to have their Little Hawkeye Conference Meet at Grinnell Monday, but that got moved back due to Norwalk and other conference opponents making up matches throughout the month of May due to inclement weather.

 

The meet at Indianola High School Monday gets underway at 4:15 PM.

 

Norwalk Girls Soccer Looks to Maintain Undefeated Streak Against Winterset

 

No. 1 in Class 2A and undefeated Norwalk’s girls’ soccer squad will be back on the pitch Monday for a non-conference showdown with Winterset.

 

The Warriors are coming off improving their record to 10-0 Tuesday in a shutout victory over Little Hawkeye Conference foe Newton. Norwalk has also shut out their last three opponents, including Newton, Urbandale, and Oskaloosa. The Warriors have given up just three goals all season. The last time Norwalk gave up a goal was at Southeast Polk on April 14. Norwalk has won the last five matches with Winterset, including defeating them in the Regional Championship game last year, 1-0.

 

The match at Norwalk High School begins at 7:00 PM Monday.
