Pella Boys Soccer Team Sweeps Home Tournament
The #10 in Class 2A Pella boys soccer team avenged a 2021 State Quarterfinals loss in 2022 against ADM 3-0 and defeated Hudson in the afternoon 2-1 to sweep their home invitational Saturday.
In the opener, both teams played to a draw in the first half before the Dutch turned up the offensive attack, with Logan Solomon, Levi Van Dusseldorp, and Logan Schroeder all scoring in the final 40 minutes to pull away.
The afternoon featured a quick Pella goal in the first ten minutes from a great cross by Teddy Apostolopoulos that was neatly tucked in by Austin Bone. Playing into the wind, the home team allowed a goal from a long throw-in that was missed by the back defending line and headed in. But minutes later, Solomon scored again to finish the scoring.
Pella improves to 12-1 overall and heads to Johnston Monday night to take on #4 in 2A Dallas Center-Grimes.

Pella is 75-13 on the season and is next in action Tuesday at Bos Landen to wrap up the Little Hawkeye Conference 54-hole meet.
