For more than a decade, KNIA/KRLS Radio has been recognized among Iowa’s best radio stations by the Iowa Broadcast News Association. This Saturday in Waterloo at the IBNA Annual Convention, KNIA/KRLS received best sports coverage, sports play-by-play, breaking news coverage, and overall newscast for 2021. The station also received recognition for overall excellence, in depth coverage, sportscast, feature reporting, and coverage of public affairs.

Station Manager Jim Butler says the awards reflect the dedication to local news and sports coverage among the staff at KNIA/KRLS Radio, and the recognition reflects the station’s standing among the best radio stations in the entire state.
