The Indianola girls golf team finished in a tie for second in their home meet triangular at the Indianola Golf and Country Club Monday with a score of 189, with all three teams finishing within five strokes. Indianola was led by Kinzey Johnston shooting a 44, Camryn Overton carding a 46, while Hanna Graham shot a 51 to round out the top three for the Indians. Johnston tells KNIA Sports it is nice having a larger senior class and a good group of younger athletes on the team, and the team culture and future are both in good spots right now.
Dallas Center-Grimes won the meet with a 184, while Newton also shot a 189. The Indians quickly turn around and hit the links again, facing off with Pella in a dual today at the Pella Country Club at 4pm.
