PCM Girls Golf Places 4th in Home Meet
PCM’s girls’ golf squad places fourth in their home meet Monday.
The Mustangs finished with a team score of 246. PCM’s low golfer of the meet was Eleigh Davis with a score of 52. Second on the team was Tori Peterson with a 60. Davis’ score was good enough for fifth overall.
PCM will be back in action for the Heart of Iowa Conference meet at Lincoln Valley Golf Course Wednesday.
PCM Girls Track 7th, Boys 8th at North Polk
PCM’s track and field squads competed in the North Polk Coed Comet Invitational that was cut short due to rainy weather.
The Mustangs’ girls placed seventh with 11 team points, five behind sixth-place Nevada. PCM’s highest finish of the night came in the 800 Sprint Medley Relay, where they placed fourth with a time of 2:02. The Mustangs’ boys placed eighth with a team score of ten points, 2.5 points behind seventh-place Nevada. PCM’s top finish came from Ben Buys in the discus, with a throw of 123’ 5.5”.
Both of PCM’s track and field squads will be back on the track Thursday afternoon for the Heart of Iowa Conference meet at Roland-Story.
PCM Soccer Shutout Against Greene County
PCM’s soccer squad dropped another Heart of Iowa Conference match Monday night, losing 2-0 to Greene County.
The Mustangs have now lost four of their last six matches. PCM was also shut out for the second time this season, which was also against a Heart of Iowa Conference foe, Nevada. The Mustangs’ record now drops to 4-5 on the season and 0-2 in Heart of Iowa Conference play.
PCM will be back on the pitch Thursday for another Heart of Iowa Conference match at Perry.
PCM Boys Golf Competes in Heart of Iowa Conference Meet
PCM’s boys’ golf squad will compete in the Heart of Iowa Conference meet today at Lincoln Valley Golf Course.
The Mustangs are coming off placing seventh in their last meet at Knoxville Saturday. PCM will be looking for a high finish in the conference meet this season. The highest finish the Mustangs had this season was a second-place finish in their first meet of the season at Lynnville-Sully April 5th.
The meet hosted by West Marshall gets underway at 9:00 AM.
