A new feature has been added to the Wonder Spelen Playground in Pella. Julie Paxton with Wonder Spelen says a Sona Arch has been added.

Built in the Netherlands, Paxton says the feature includes technology that allows kids of all ages to play interactive games.

“The Sona Arch is actually developed by a company in the Netherlands and it is an interactive, app featured piece of equipment for all ages,” she says. “There’s a camera feature on the top of the arch which will sense where people are on the colors and numbers on the map below it. So you can play games and music and it will interact and really enhance the sensory experience at the playground.”

She says with continued support and a recent national spotlight on the project, the Pella Kiwanis have goals to continue expanding the adaptive playground.
