The Knoxville City council approved entering into a Sewer Revenue Loan and Disbursement Agreement for $5,899,000 at their Monday Meeting. Knoxville City Manager Heather Ussery spoke with KNIA/KRLS News about the agreement.

“This is for our Water Reclamation Facility improvement project. The biggest part of the project is for disinfecting, which is an upgrade mandated by the DNR. Also, there are electrical upgrades in the project as well. The loan is overseen by the Iowa Finance Authority and that is one of the best financing options for a municipality to utilize for a project like this.”
