Pella Christian Golfers Finish Three-Day Conference Meet
The Pella Christian boys golf team wrapped up the third and final day of the Little Hawkeye Conference regular season meets Tuesday and placed fifth with a score of 350. A shorthanded P.C. squad was led by Isaiah Breems on the afternoon as he shot an 80. Dane Geetings carded an 87 on the day and Eliot Menninga scored a 91. The sophomore Breems tells KRLS Sports that with the postseason beginning next week, he and his teammates just need to worry about controlling what they can control.
“We need to just play these next few upcoming tournaments that matter a lot, just like any other tournament. Don’t overthink it. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself because then you might just crumble under the pressure and that’s never good.”
The Eagles are off until Monday when they will participate in the Little Hawkeye Conference boys golf tournament at Willow Creek Golf Course in West Des Moines.
