A Pella High School teacher was nominated by her peers and students to earn recognition. Leighton State Bank surprised Suzanne Jones with the 2022 Teacher of the Year distinction on National Teacher Appreciation Day Tuesday. This is the 6th time the local bank has awarded an educator locally with this recognition. Jones was nominated by students, staff, and administration at Pella High School for her years of impacting individuals participating in award-winning speech and drama programs. Jones received a check to help offset classroom costs in addition to a name plaque for her desk.
