Those planning to attend Tulip Time festivities this week may start the celebration with raincoats and umbrellas and finish the event with one of the nicest days in the forecast this entire spring. According to the National Weather Service, widespread rain showers are expected periodically Thursday, with daytime highs in the upper 50s. That precipitation could continue overnight and into the morning Friday, with drier conditions expected as the day continues and highs in the low 60s. Saturday’s forecast may bring record crowds — sunny skies are expected, with highs approaching the upper 60s by the afternoon parade. The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio will be broadcasting all three days of the 87th Tulip Time celebration on 92.1 KRLS, with updates regarding weather and parking, as well as interviews with those attending this year’s celebration.
