A pair of students from the Netherlands have been filming a documentary about Pella over the past several weeks.

Noah van Diepen and Lincy Wingelaa are part of CampusDoc, a filming program at the University of Utrecht, and have spent the past several weeks following the Tulip Queen and Royal Court to help share the story of Pella. The duo — who joined KNIA/KRLS Thursday in the Big Red Radio, found out about the American Dutch community through social media, and chose Queen Sarah Gritters and her court to follow to give their project narrative direction.

The film is titled “175 Tulips Away,” which commemorates the 175th anniversary of Pella’s founding.
