PCM Girls Track Places 4th, Boys 6th at Heart of Iowa Conference Meet

 

PCM’s track and field squads competed at the Heart of Iowa Conference Meet at Roland-Story, as the girls placed fourth while the boys placed sixth.

 

The Mustangs’ girls finished with 99 team points, 13 ahead of fifth-place Greene County. PCM got three first-place finishes in the meet, including two from Delaney Baird. Baird placed first in both the 110 meter shuttle and 400 meter hurdles. The Mustangs also got a first-place finish in the 4×100 shuttle hurdle relay.

 

The Mustangs’ boys finished with 73.5 team points, 24.5 points ahead of seventh-place Saydel. PCM got one first-place finish in their meet. The Mustangs finished with a time of 3:55.67 in the distance medley. The Mustangs also got two second-place finishes in the 4×100 and 4×200 meter relays.

 

PCM’s final track meet of the season will be a coed track meet at Pella on Monday.

 

PCM Soccer Recap Suffers Second Straight Shutout

 

PCM’s soccer squad suffered their second consecutive shutout loss Thursday at Perry, losing 8-0.

 

The Mustangs have now lost three of their last four matches, and have given up 15 goals in their three losses. PCM has now suffered their third shutout loss of the season. The loss drops PCM to 4-6 on the season, and have now gone over 80 game-time minutes without scoring a single goal.

 

PCM will be back in action for their next match at home against Albia Monday.

 

PCM Boys Golf Travels to Colfax-Mingo

 

PCM’s boys’ golf squad will have their final meet of the season today, a quad meet at Colfax-Mingo.

 

The Mustangs are coming off placing fifth in the Heart of Iowa Conference Meet at West Marshall Tuesday. This meet will be PCM’s final meet of the season before they have their sectional meet Wednesday at home. The Mustangs will compete with the host, Pleasantville, and Newton.

 

The meet at the Colfax Country Club gets underway at 2:00 PM.
