indianola-8

The Indianola boys soccer team dominated Winterset 5-0 to win on the road Friday evening, while the girls tennis team went 1-2 in a meet at Waukee Northwest.
The Indians boys got goals from Jackson Sinclair, Aiden Keller, Eric Schmidt, Sam Alexander, and Dax Clatt as the defense dominated the Huskies as they played on the road at Earlham High School. Head coach Heath Weeks says the Indians are starting to play to their strengths with a strong defense and finding the back of the net with strong runs up front. Indianola improves to 5-10 on the season, and host Ottumwa on Thursday.

The Indians girls fell to Urbandale 11-0, and Lewis Central 6-5, but defeated Waukee Northwest 8-3 on the road in a quad meet Friday. Indianola got wins from Brynn Bishop, Carmen Christensen, Audra Dowler, and Keely Gruebel in singles play, then the duos of Bishop/Gruebel, Ella Hildreth/Audrey Troutman, Christensen/Dowler, and Maren Haynes/Kaelyn Kindelspire. Indianola wraps up the regular season with a 9-5 dual record, and will have singles and doubles regional qualifying on Wednesday at WDM Valley.
