The Simpson baseball team ended the season outside of the American Rivers Conference tournament, but had their season end on a high note after taking down Loras in the series finale 7-6. The Storm scored a pair of runs in the opening inning only for Loras to answer with three to get right back on track, then added a run in the second to take a 4-2 lead that held through the fourth. The Storm re-took the lead in the fifth with a three-run split, then added another two in the sixth to build a 7-4 lead. Loras scored a run in the sixth and another in the eighth, then Brady Held came in for the save in his final appearance for the Storm. Simpson ends the season with a 19-20 record and 10-14 in the conference.
