The Indianola Middle School 7th grade girl track and field team earned a state championship this weekend at Waukee High School, scoring 104 team points, earning three state champion events, and four state runner-up events.

State champions:
Distance Medley – Soriya Massey, Alexa Guyer, Emma White, Paige Hoger
100m Hurdles – Lilly Hoger
Sprint Medley – Emma White, Sam Gripp, Paige Hoger, Kendal Sandy

Runners-up:
Shot Put – Haley New
Discus – Madison Grover – School Record
Shuttle Hurdle – Lilly Hoger, Kiley Stewart, Siere Becker, Madison Grover
4x200m Relay – Sam Gripp, Kendal Sandy, Kodi Helm, Aubrey Griffin

The girls 8th grade team earned an 8th place finish with 22 team points, and the Distance Medley relay team of Abbie Kluver, Annie Harmon, Katie Kluver, and Leah Hartford won the state championship.
