Norwalk’s girls’ soccer squad came away with a split in their home triangular, while both track and field squads came away with ten at-large bids for the State Track and Field Meet next week.

The No. 2 in Class 2A Warriors’ girls’ soccer squad opened the night with a shutout 3-0 victory over No. 6 in Class 2A Lewis Central. Jocelyn Bice scored two of Norwalk’s three goals. The other goal came from Addison Burch. Braelyn Clark had two assists in the match, the other coming from Marin Randall. The second game unfortunately had the Warriors come out on the wrong side of the result, losing in penalty kicks to No. 3 in Class 2A and defending state champion Waverly-Shell Rock. The split in the triangular puts Norwalk at 13-3 on the season. Norwalk will wrap up the regular season against Little Hawkeye Conference foe Indianola Tuesday.

In addition to the Warriors’ track and field squads’ ten automatic qualifiers for the state tournament, Norwalk’s number doubled with adding ten at-large bids to Drake Stadium.
