The Indianola City Council approved the site plan for new businesses on N Jefferson Way at their meeting Monday, allowing the property owner and contractor to begin construction. Interim City Manager Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News the project helps fulfill a goal of the comprehensive plan which is to bring businesses on the economic corridor through the city.
“We’ve been working with the property owner on this one for about six months now on various things, and this is the last step to what they needed to do to get the building permit out there to start construction. What it is is a little over 5,000 sq ft building that will have two tenant spaces in it. What we know now is one of the spaces will be for a retail business, and the other will be a restaurant that will go in there.”
